My Art Work

Is there something you’re not very good at but enjoy doing anyway? If so, what path did you take?

Did you drop it or keep at it? If you kept at it, did you get better than you thought you would ever be?

I was always curious about art. How do artists make a painting come alive? How do you make something look so real? But alas, during all my many years of appreciating art, all I could do is doodle – circles, lines, triangles, squares, a mess of shapes.

Then about eight years ago, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for an art class in an Adult Ed program.  A few years later, I felt confident enough to join an Art Studio led by the incredibly talented artist, Iris Gorenberg.

Working with fellow artists, I discovered that you don’t have to be naturally talented to learn to paint. It’s a skill that can be taught. You can learn about how perspective, shading, light, angles and much more. As with many things in life, I discovered that the more you paint, the better you become. The better you become, the more you delight in your work.

I get great joy out of painting. When I finish a piece, I arrive home, like a kindergarten kid, excited to show off my work. So, I’m delighted you visited this page and I can show off my work to you. Hope you enjoy.
